Our mission,our vision.

  2. Reach more than 5 million followers on digital platforms.
  3. Produce original sports entertainment content.

  6. Create pathways that support the development of football talent.
  7. Become a recognised African brand in the media and entertainment sectors.

Why A-League

Why A-Leagueexists

In many African countries, today’s football ecosystem has several structural gaps.

A lack of stable amateur competitions

Thousands of talented footballers play in informal or poorly structured competitions, with limited visibility, irregular schedules and few opportunities to progress. Many players struggle to showcase their abilities because so few organised competitions exist.

A-League aims to address this by offering structured seasonal competitions that develop players while generating real entertainment value.

Informal

  • Irregular schedules
  • Limited visibility
  • Few chances to progress

Structured

  1. Seasonal competitions
  2. Player development
  3. Entertainment value

The Founder

Ernest Ekande

Founder and president of A-League

A football fan since childhood, he grew up between neighbourhood pitches and the screens showing the big matches. He has watched a whole generation experience football differently: on mobile, in clips, with their favourite creators.

With A-League, he wants to give that generation a league that looks like them: demanding on the pitch, spectacular off it, and designed from day one for an African audience.

Football is already Africa’s passion. Our mission is to turn it into the biggest show of its youth.
